Saumil M. Shah, MD


Dr. Shah graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan and earned his MD from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He then completed his internship at MacNeal Hospital and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology (VIR) at Beaumont Health Systems in Royal Oak, MI.  Dr. Shah is board certified in diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology, and is an active member in the Society for Interventional Radiology (SIR).

Dr. Shah is on staff at Rush Oak Park Hospital and West Suburban Hospital.  He served Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Advocate Trinity before joining Chicago Vascular Center.  Dr. Shah has presented research in multiple areas of interventional radiology including minimally invasive techniques.  His expertise includes amputation prevention and limb salvage procedures for peripheral arterial disease (PAD), varicose vein management and treatment, hemodialysis interventions, UFE, liver tumor/metastasis therapies, and pain management with a focus on providing compassionate, meticulous, and advanced care for patients.
